 ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility releases proposed amendments to ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct...The ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility has released for comment proposed amendments to the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct on lawyer advertising. The Working Draft is available here and the supporting memorandum is available here.  The Ethics Committee wants to hear from state bar associations.  The committee will host a public forum on the Working Draft in Vancouver at the Midyear Meeting on Friday, February 2, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre. All written comments should be filed by March 1, 2018. Comments should be emailed to  All comments will be posted on the Ethics Committee’s website. After review of this Working Draft and the comments it generates, the Ethics Committee plans to submit to the House of Delegates a resolution and report amending the Model Rules of Professional Conduct on lawyer advertising for the August 2018 meeting.
