Toolkit Helps Bars Build Public Trust in Justice System

In the face of racial tensions and a growing sense of public distrust in our nation’s justice system, bar associations are engaging communities in open dialogues to help educate the public about how the criminal justice system works and to build consensus for needed reforms. Several bar associations’ efforts were featured in a recent Bar Leader article, and the Boston legal community is organizing a forum on June 12. To support such initiatives, the ABA has created a toolkit that provides resources for bars interested in planning and hosting these community dialogues.   View the toolkit and more at www.ambar.org/publictrust.
